Add so you can choose Microphone to use ingame.
Having different mics connected to the pc and even some virtual ones if you (as me) use software that need or add those make it more work than needed sometimes. Need to change back and forth in win to get the mic to work. On top of that sometimes windows after an update or restart will change to default mode yada yada.. and it's not the default you want.

One simple litte choice in the settings to choose what mic to use would help me, and maybe, just maybe, one... or even two other people :P

This. I got multiple devices and apparently nobody can hear me. Have no idea how to change to the correct device (if there is a way, please tell me how)...

EDIT: I might just have found out a way. Press win+G to open the game bar, go to audio and set your microphone from there. Also in steam, go to settings, voice and check if your default input device is correct.
Havent tested yet, but it seems to have fixed for everyone else.

Just bring up windows sound settings and check the mic you want to use as default for windows and it should work.

The prob is that you don't really want to have that as default in win all the time or some other thing you use change it and you miss it when you join game.

Win+G might work. Haven't tried it and wont be able to since I have enough overlays "SteelSeriesGG, Steam Overlay, Nvidia Overlay..." so had the MS gamebar uninstalled (that's the Win+G thing btw).

The game's microphone settings are dogwater. In deiscord and any other game that uses my microphone my mic is clear and devoid of static even if I have my fan on, this game? I swear it must bypass my noise filter settings because it is constant light static in this game if I set it to always on. (barely audible but constant and therefore annoying to others)

There is no fix for this. I have tried, it is the game's issue.

Just setting it as main device on windows settings does not work. I have tried that.
You gotta do it through gamebar on the “default communication input” setting.

I use discord for open coms with friends, if we have a slot for a rando we push to talk.

For a while there I was trying to use my airpods for voice in a different game. Found there were actually 4 different places with mic selection. But since this game doesn't have it there are 3. Windows, Steam, and xbox app/ gamebar.

For this game I use discord and airpods through phone, and my webcam mic for push to talk. Just keeps things simple.
