It's been going back and forth all week it doesn't make sense the first planet went by nice and smooth but this planet I've watched it loose 10% in like 10mins hell it's been up to 60% then hrs later it went down to around 35%.

First planet went down 25% in one day. Why? Because people are taking on difficulties they aren't ready for. If you fail a nuke mission, you make the % take a substantial hit. When multiple people fail, well, you get the idea. Given there's been a ton of "CHARGER TOO HARD!" posts, I'd wager the problem isn't the developers "Tampering." but players not surviving.

There's no way this is exclusively the case. I watched it drop by 5% between missions, last night. There's either tampering going down, or progress isn't being logged because of server issues. You'd have to die by the hundreds of thousands to reduce the percentage that much, in less than 30 minutes.

A mission is anywhere from 5 minutes to 40 minutes long. There's hundreds of thousands of players playing. How many missions do you think got failed or succeeded in the timeframe it took you to finish your mission?

Pretty sure the game also gives passive enemy score to planets every once in a while to have the pushback and allow the bugs to theoretically reconquer and spread into new systems. I assume the idea for this first 'season' was to give the players incentives to primarily fight bugs early on to allow the robots to gain more of a foothold.

Considering there are only 159k players in game right now? Not as many as you'd try to imply, with that question.

You do know it is crossplay, right?

It doesn't add up, still. You'd have to lose about 5-10x the amount you gain from a success in order for those numbers to work, on a failure. So again - It may be contributing, but I'm chalking this up to GM interference or progress not being recorded due to server bullshittery. I'm still only getting rewards every 2-3 missions.

I am implying that the devs of the game that is obviously not completely done yet, the devs of the game that were not ready for this many people playing the game, were not ready for this many people playing the game and progressing the planet captures this quickly.

They could very well have thought they had a week or two to finish things that will happen once all the planets for this shield or w/e its called are secured and instead their two weeks of progress was blown though by 5x more people playing the game, 5x as fast than expected.
They would not put in and order to liberate it before 7 days pass if they were in panic mode about "need to finish the next planet first". That would make everyone involved extremely stupid beyond reason, to the poin of statistical impossibilty - especially when there is a much simpler explanation.
That being the multiple times mentioned one: Failing a mission sets the percentage back, just as winning one sets it forward. The fact the percentage started to fall in peak time and was followed by rapid KIA numbers, it means people are failing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of missions last few hours.
I kinda suspect it's extra bad today because of the "kill chargers" order that forced thousands of people who never left easy and medium to higher diff.

Let me put it this way. Each operation is different in how much % you gain or lose based on your victory/failure, the nuke in general is the one that has the highest gain/loss and if you had say 30% of players lose that within an hour, it would create a substantial decrease to the %'s. No one really knows what is happening, but the KIA list doesn't lie. You get 20 reinforcements a mission aside from every 2 minute callins, you do the math.

I spam fail missions to serve the Automaton and Terminid overlords.

We will eliminate the human scum and take Super Earth from these galactic parasites.

Death to liber-tea and the false Democracy! :cozyrealmroyale:

I'd love to help, I just can't get into a damn mission to actually play. Game is outstanding, but when you can't play you can't help the community.
Damien Feb 13, 2024 @ 2:31pm
Yeah rip our mission for the reward of 10k money
Yaltiaj Feb 13, 2024 @ 2:35pm
Yesterday I saw it spike from 50% to 70% in the matter of a few hours, later that same day it dropped back down to 60% from 72% only to crawl back up to 70%.

That's not to mention Malevolence Creek which went from roughly 22% down to practically nothing.
Oobaneko Feb 13, 2024 @ 2:41pm
Nah, it's just people losing non-stop. Witnessed % rise by 2% while were on mission (solo mission, 37 mins there). diff5, got 2 tribute to the goal. I guess, on diff 7+ impact is higher.

And ordinary players really loves last stand type of gaming, because... Yesterday played with team that last standed 27 minutes on one place, while I wiped out nests (it happened after main objective). So, most players here for shooting bugs and bots and having fun.

they didn't plan on so many helldivers playing the game.. so they want to slow us down from getting to the final planets. Thats my best guess. They're also deleting threads about connection issues which is funny.

Again just a theory, no concrete proof or anything of the sort.

You know when we liberated heethe, we unveiled two new terminid planets, right?
Tbh, I forgot about those two outer planets when I made that post.
