1. Anti armor weapons ( Reconciles + Expendable anti tank + Swarm )
Do bonus damage to armor by a lot.
But it needs to be used on Armor that can be destroyed. So using them on head of charger is less effective than using it on the sides or legs of charger.
You use Anti-Tank on side of charger it blows a massive hole on the side letting you kill it in 2 hits
2. Anti-Material rifle + Marksmen rifles
Do bonus damage to crit spots
But marksman rifle damage seems really medicore in bonus - but thanks to big range it lets you pick off enemies without causing an alert
3. Flame Thrower
Seems to do percentage based damage + stacking damage
So it can do a lot more damage to bigger enemies but will feel weaker against smaller enemies
4. Double Barrel Shotgun
Seems to be useless. While it does high damage its spread is so insane that even a uzi pistol does more damage to medium automatations because of its insanely long reload speed.
Never bother picking this up. Just leave it on the ground
5. Gauss Rifle
It is a hit and miss
It does insanely good damage to large enemies but only having a single shot - will put you at a disadvantage if swarmed unless you compensate it with something else.
6. Arc Thrower
Another hit and miss
It is great at crowd control but you put your self at constant risk using it at short range + charge up time to use it - also weak against larger enemies - so you need some sort of anti tank strategem to makeup for it.
Granted its not as quick as over weapons but its also more ammo efficient over a longer period
Even armor stats are. And if you have a perk which says it increases Armor rating, it isn't represented on the armor rating at all.
Also devs stated that the helmets have no function, they are just cosmetic, but they still have stats listed.
There is still some work to do on the stat department,
Yup. Helldivers 1 was so terrible about weapon stats that players came together trying to deduce SOME kind of meaningful metric. Helldivers 2 is only marginally better. Primary weapons show weapon damage but we still don't know enemy stats. They show magazine size, but not number of magazines. Support Weapons... don't show any information AT ALL.
Player feedback is one of my primary bugbears when it comes to game design. Giving players sufficient information with which to make informed decisions is crucial to the proper functioning of a video game. Giving players no or misleading information doesn't make the game "more challenging". It just means that players have to put together their own wikis where that information is available.
