Random Explosions?

Every once in a while I see a huge explosion near where we are fighting. Its as large as a Hellfire bomb, and its not any ordinance that my team called in. It just sorta happens sometimes. Any clue what that's about?

Sometimes there are un-exploded helbombs that got "dropped on bugs" that get set off by stratagems or gunfire.

I saw the weirdest thing. I started a solo extreme run, and about 3 minutes in, I saw a bile titan right infront of me, just for it to explode in the biggest explosion I've seen other than the ICBM. I think they have a few random events that trigger to make the game feel more alive and like you're actually fighting a war rather than pulling a seal team six on some bugs.

It is possible to find bombs that did not explode upon impact on planets.
They can be triggered by a shot or an explosion which sometimes gives rise to sequences of powerful detonations, keep your eyes peeled for them, they are mainly found on rocks a little higher up

Ohh, I've seen those around but somehow never made the connection. I thought it might have been a prop of some sort getting destroyed by enemies, but had no clue what. Good to know!
