This is not what happens. Not even close. I'm paranoid about killing team mates. I won't even use the sentry guns anymore because people like to stand in front of them and die. I make sure when I toss the target nade it's nowhere near people. But of course, there are 400 IQ people that see that big red line with a countdown timer and decide they're a moth to the flame. And that's just one example. I've been kicked several times for no reason whatsoever, nobody died, host just kicks me.
This is why I've never been a fan of host kick systems in co-op games. Back when I played Payday 2, I got burned one too many times and decided to only join vote-kick lobbies, no host-kick ones. Of course, since 99 % of lobbies had host kick enabled, I ended up hosting pretty much all the time. But I always had vote kick enabled, never host kick.
I empathize with your pain, OP. Fortunately for me, I've mostly been playing in pre-made groups, so I haven't had to deal with this issue in Helldivers 2. I only got kicked once so far, and that was on the ship.
Bro just block those try hards they clearly don't get the game
