now that nprotect are being used in a widely popular game, if someone managed to find a critical vulnerability in that garbage anti-cheat, it's f4king over.
You've got a problem with your PC, the problem isn't with nProtect. I'm running the game right now and nProtect is only using between 0.3% and 0.6% of my CPU most of the time, the highest it's gone is about 1%.
Well, you can assume it's an issue if you like but I just tested it. Causes no crashes, uses very, very little of my CPU. Don't see how it's the "sole problem" if it's not causing ANY issues...
Exactly, I've actually seen nProtect shut off completely when I'm not in a match so CPU use is zero, goes up to about 0.6% to 1% at most when in a match. Not sure how people can think that nProtect is eating up 50+% of their CPU when the game hits 50-60% for most of us. They don't even have 50%+ of their CPU power left to be used if the game's taking more than 50. Something doesn't add up... and it's probably the OP's math. I bet it's the game *AND* nProtect using 56%, not nProtect.
Dropbox.exe is using more resources than Gameguard. Weirdness.
With common sense browsing and download habits, you really shouldn't need a third party AV. Given that this DRM is kernel level, I would not at all be surprised if it is your AV butting heads with it. May be worth uninstalling it and trying again. And honestly, Windows Defender is a fairly decent antivirus.

Yeah, you don't need a third party anti-virus at all. Windows Defender and the Windows Firewall are sufficient protection unless you're out there doing things you shouldn't be doing.
