Cap your FPS to 63 or 72 or 81 or 90, depending on how much your want to push your card.

Yeah as others said try capping fps. I have mine on 60fps (3080 TI).

I also selected supersampling as one of the options and everything else is max settings except shadows.

Only gets up to about 58-60 degrees on my rig but it was running a lot hotter at launch.

You need to HARDWARE CAP the fps from your video card panel.

Also it's not about what you can reach but about HOW MUCH you want to PUSH your card.

Remember, the more it have to push on FPS the more it will get stressed and more heat will build up.

That is why i suggested some FPS caps (they are weird at a first look but they are correct. They must be a sum of 9)

If you put 60 you will not get 60, you will get 58-60. That is why you need at least 1-3 frames more to keep the MIN to 60.

Same for the other caps limits... there are a couple more of FPS to that purpose.

It's not a very known thing but those are the correct values to cap your FPS.

In truth there are more limits at higher values, but sincerely.... all is fine either at 63 or at 999 FPS... doesn't change a thing to my eyes and my experience, some are more sensible to the higher FPS but that is a minority of people.

If you feel you can keep up the heat and the stress, the softspot is 72 or 81

Nah, it's a card with low clock speed so it have to ramp up a lot of cycles to keep the work done.

I have a Sapphire Nitro 6800XT SE with all mixed settings i am barely at 37°, but my clocks are in fixed OC mode at 2200Mhz. This mean LESS cycles of elaboration to be done and since the work is done FASTER it will not heat up.

Lower clock speed mean more elaboration cycles to keep up the work and more heat.

The ammount of FPS to process is also to be taken in consideration as that will stress even more the card if there is no cap.

If you have uncapped FPS, capping it will help A TON, so use the same FPS limits i suggested above to see the temps going down.

You should not be worried about the temperature unless it is thermal throttling and reducing clock speeds or shutting off.

My 1080TI on my second rig hits 82c regularly and has done for years, i wouldnt worry about it.

What nonsense are you saying lol. That is the reason why hardware breaks, you are a complete mad.
