Me and my buddy tried to run this way and every time i reloaded his autogun and hemoved just a little bit in any direction, the arms of my character bugged out and couldn't aim properly after detaching myself from him. Once my gun bugged out too and couldn't use up the entire magazine of my primary gun and hat to kill myself.
I looked like i'm performing some sort of annoying Fortnite dance

Never had this issue i'm playing on PS5 though so might be a PC issue
During assisted reload you are tethered together. And when the operator moves during this phase, he is dragging you with himself like some ragdoll. Feels very bad and annoying.
Puny little guard that can clear out almost all the little bugs, give you a much needed space to handle the bigger threat, while also doesn't tied you down to your teammate and doesn't need any communication to be effective.
Hmmm I wonder which one would be useful to the random team more...
Nah thanks I take loading someone SPEAR over the guard any-day.
My shotgun is fine and faster taking out trash.
And it looks like you see being tethered as a disadvantage which it is absolutely not the DPS increase well outweighs one man not shooting for a few seconds.

Ok look, I know that crew Op gonna give you much better brust dps to clear the big boy, much better than the laser bot gonna give you ever.
But my point is very simply, it's a far more comfortable set up for pub team, as expecting someone you never know to actually come help you reload when you need it is simply unrealistic.
Hell I tried it myself, the gunner and me are trying to use RL on some chargers, but we can't stick together at all due to the other 2 guys can't cover us for some reason.
So my Railgun-Laser bot combo become my main loadout due to the sheer flexibility this build allow in case my teammate doesn't do their part.
Yea i get your point but can only speak for myself I for one will reload any random's weapon any time.
But yea many don't get it yet and many are still learning mechanics and what not.
Yes i see Nihil had same issue this must be a PC bug because i play on PS5 and 2-man weapons all the time and never seen this issue
