Is the game enjoyable with random people?

I know quick play seems to be a hit and miss atm from what I read but for the people who have played with randos is the game enjoyable with random people before I buy it? As I'm not sure if my friends will buy this game. Thanks.

Laugh it off while they possibly just do the whole mission for me. B.) Votekick individual problem makers or C.) Go to the next game and be on a new mission in like a minute or two. The only thing I find to be a problem is that /if/ YOU get kicked from the match, it should just continue the mission in your own personal instance so you can't be griefed of mission rewards (which hasn't happen to me yet, but I see how a group of 3 could bully 1 at the end of a mission ~ but we'll see how that plays out as time goes on)

But in 40 hours of gameplay, all with randoms .. I've had only that one real 'iffy' one, haven't had any other encounters of intentional team killing, though I have been killed by poorly thrown bombardments and such, but that kind of thing is gonna happen even with premade teams.

I mean at one time I had my own massive bombardment stratagem IN MY HAND with the rest of the team around, naturally, that's not a big deal on it's own .... until one of the small bugs snuck up and hit me, knocking me down AND knocking the stratagem out of my hand- activating it.

We all died in the glorious democratic fire.

I don't have the game, but "play with randoms if you want to have a random experience" stands strong in my head. And I don't think a game with friendly fire set to on will change that.

It's about what you would expect from any co-op game where friendly fire can happen.

Some experiences will be good.

Some experiences will be bad.

Most of them will be fine.

People will try and jedi mind trick you into thinking it's not worth it to play with randoms. They are wrong.

Your experience may vary of course but playing with randoms is fine. Most missions are good from my experience but ofcourse this is anecdotal.

40 hours of mixed solo & random 2-4 man groups later ..

I can agree with GustavoM I've had wonderful people that feel as if we are the same skill level and the mission run smoothly. In a completely different game, I had a dude teamkill me because he thought the common supplies werent shared between the whole group when you picked them up. So far it feels great to turn on the Doom OST and feel as if the enemies are trapped with you while you call down your 3 teammates back to life.

I'd say at least 4/5 rando group I have joined have been good, with the remaining 20% or less being either boring or actual annoying. and I'd say maybe twice a day I'll find an AMAZING group and then just stick with them for hours.

The only real troll I've found is someone who shot me just before the evac shuttle and didn't revive me....apparently not really aware I can just kick him and auto revive.... not that I expect much from people who troll PvE games.

Don't play this with randoms, unless you enjoy trolls who team kill and grief people. Yes friendly fire is always ON, what a brilliant idea.

It's iffy right now it seems. The day I bought it, I either couldn't even play with people or I would get kicked every time joining a quickmatch. The one of two times I got to play with other people, a chinese dude just randomly killed everyone and left alone at the end. Hopefully it will improve as time goes on.

Game is actually on par with playing with randoms I think. The added chaos just makes the nature of this game more fun.

It's funny cause I only play with randoms and haven't met anything but great players. If I'm killed by a stratagem that's just part of the game, it happens.

Randoms are great, with the big surge of interest I'm sure the people on launch that can't handle it will be bad, but those that play this like they did helldivers 1 will have a blast with you even if you are a random. It's a game, just shouldnt be taking a single loss so seriously; not like you get paid to play /shrug
