Destroying nests/outpost - what does that EXACTLY do?
Hi,
Everybody talks that destroing, for example, bug nests lowers bug presence on a map.
But is it really and in what way?
Does lesser patrols spawns? (so its usefulness is highly debatable)
Does it make less bugs appear when alarm is triggered?

Really want to know what and how exactly is affected to know if nests raids worth it or its better to rush main

nest raid iust reward you with more exp/credits.. or there might be samples there.. if you want to farm medal, just go straight do main objective and extract
MrFrengLitch Feb 10, 2024 @ 11:24pm
They're good for sample farming.

more nest destroyed more xp and requisitions earned after match. Also they are great for getting samples. There will always be patrols. the faster you kill them the less likely they will spawn an emerging hole/dropship for reinforcements.

Didnt understand that i should include that in question, but yeah..

That ones was to obvious.

Im asking from Suicidal+ difficulty perspective and trying to stay alive in mission

Only stalker nests stop spawns.

I've had a couple games where, leaving nearby nests up resulted in a seemingly large wave. But it might be confirmation bias.

It's mostly just R and XP. And clearing the map, to make it easier to run around unmolested.

if you want advice for the suicidal difficulty, you are in the wrong place, steam forums are more troll and rage bait than any high level tips and hints

After playing awhile. I'm positive that a nearby nest will send patrols your way on a fairly consistent basis.

The real reason to destroy the nest Troopers. Is to spread Democracy and Freedom To them. Any na-say talk is Treason.

Reddit is worse and Steam Guides are still silent on that question ((

Heavily noticed that destroying nests and outposts does reduce patrols.
Cryptic Feb 10, 2024 @ 11:47pm
just go try destroying some of those fabricators or the hives and then look at the map. The enemy numbers are much noticeably smaller

The only thing we KNOW is they give xp and credits. Everything else is a guess or a fabrication. It would make sense that destroying a nest decreases spawns, but that is bad in a game about killing swarms of enemies.

To me, it seems that patrols become more frequent as Mission Time elapses. If that is the case, then killing hives has no effect.
