The best weapons and stratagems.
so far ive found the liberator smg to be a head above everything else on offer at the moment but im interested to see whats been working for other hell divers. regarding stratagems the eagle 500 has been phenomenal especially after hanger upgrades.

the starting weapon honestly is good all around , other weapon unlock is not "upgrade" per say but more like option..
for strategem EMS strike is seriously underated, i rarely see anyone use it.. It basically freeze enemy so other strategem can hit it.. especially usefull against tankier enemy

I'm a big fan of the Shotgun (Breaker) and R4-Repeater Pistol.

I did use AR and Marksman Rifle but they're lacking power, or something cause everytime I use them, I perform poorly.
Energy gun are clearly not my cup o liberthea so yeah.

For Stratagems, I use mainly, the Grenader Launcher, a versatile weapons. With Rover "Guard Dog"
Followed by the orbital laser and 120MME Eagle Strike (The one who drop bomb on the closest biggest target from where you throw it)

For me the early game weapon to get is the Defender SMG. It's wayy better than the liberator to me & a lot more ammo efficient.

I've seen people get insane use out of both the Rover Guard, and the Grenade Launcher.

Airstrike, Precision, Cluster Bomb are all fantastic tools to clear enemies. And great at clearing buildings/tunnels (Other than cluster).

Railgun is also great for AT, way better than I thought. So is the auto-cannon for light. Recoiless is....not that great imo, even with a reloader.

Actually the Marksman rifle is objectively the best early game gun against automatons, but falls off really hard against bugs. It's really interesting how different loadouts are far better for fighting the different factions. Heavy armor is useless against bugs, and so are most single-shot weapons. For Cyborgs it's the exact opposite, you want to be accurate and high power from long range while being able to withstand massive amounts of explosions.

So far chargers seem to ignore the EMS once they start charging, unlike in the first game where they will stop after entering the field.

I suppose its true.
I mostly fight Bugs.

I never fought Automatons yet.

This is Bugdiver not Botdiver, just like in the first game, nobody cares about the bots.

Speak for yourself, fighting the bots is insanely fun. Idk how you can be tribal about fighting different factions tbh, I enjoy both.

Is there a primary explosive weapon in the game? I saw the one in the primary store and ill be hinda upset if thats basically a primary grenade launcher.

The auto canon seems pretty good as well, gives you a crap ton of ammo with it.

Best Early game loadout is the Breaker and the MP secondary
Trien Feb 11, 2024 @ 6:39am
wonder if they will add the 3rd faction eventually like HD1

breaker shotgun for weapons hands down. mortar and rocket sentry is also really good(autocannon sentry would be mvp but it does not prioritize large targets like the rocket turret), so is autocannon or support pack.

I like the Defender too. TBH the main reason I switched was cause I set my Liberator to semi-fire and didn't know how to change it back - didn't know I could, thought it was a bug after one of the patches lmao, so I went to the Defender and it's clearly superior. Higher damage per bullet with the same ammo capacity makes it a no-brainer.
