The recoil is very strong, especially the initial toss of the barrel.
The good thing is that it is a one-handed weapon. I use it in delivery missions.
It’s not worth buying an upgrade just for this weapon. SMG-37 Defender, which is in the free battle pass, is no worse and in some ways even superior.
You sure gotta be prepared to reload and your aim has got to be precise.
But the weapon shreds anything that doesn't have thick armor, Grunts will just fall over left and right.
I do use like the Machine Gun on the side and I am sure I will try some of the other heavy automatic Support weapons as they are kind of a necessity if you are running the MP98.
All comes down to playstyle but if you like fast submachines then it's certainly no sleeper.
Behold, the laziest answer I have ever seen
You can't judge when you necro.
Huge DPS potential, and if you crouch down its pinpoint accurate even in smaller bursts over distances.
It's one of the "must pick" weapons for bots, and it is good against bugs too. (The shotgun is better there, because of the run and gun nature of the maps though)
Speaking from Impossible-Helldive experience, so not an opinion gathered from the easier difficulties
It's okay at point blank range, but you really don't want to be that close to enemies if you can help it. Kiting at medium range is the best way to stay alive, especially against Bugs.
For bugs, you can actually go face first into the fight meters away, its preferrable quite often.
And i wouldn't say better, its different. The defender is easier to handle, but if you can control the knight it has a bigger dps potential.
Both are fun stuff.
