Poor performance on high end rig

FPS are above 80 all the time but it doesn't feel like that. I think the frame times are pretty bad.

I play on 5120x1440 everything on iltra with Gsync on.
RTX 4080
32gb ram
12700kf @ 5ghz
M.2 SSD

Fps never goes above 110 and doesn't drop below 80 but it feels so stuttery.
The game definitely needs some serious optimization patches.

Whats your experience with it? Has someone found some temporarily fix performance wise?

You represent like, .1% of gaming with that rig, I wouldn't expect game developers to cater to you in any way. I'm sure optimization is coming, but I get great frames with a 1080 and 6700k 9 year old rig on high settings (at 1080p).

I love it when people lie and say this games runs great on an ancient pc.

Exactly. Its like people saying their Renault Clio runs better than a 911 Turbo. And mechanics should not bother to maintain those luxury cars since few people buy them.

Devs should fix performance problems ASAP, they are a big turnoff for many gamers.

5120x1440 is indeed not a common resolution ... I play on 3440x1440 ( max settings) with 4070ti and I have 90+ fps all the time , never an issue anywhere. Either nobody cares about that res (xdxd ) and its not optimized properly , or something is not funcioning well on your pc. Other games are fine tho?

my laptop isn't the best, but im having absolutely terrible performance as well. changing settings from high to low doesnt seem to do much at all. i'm only trying to play at 1080p

I'll run and grab you some clips. It runs just fine at 60fps on my ancient PC with background apps like discord and opera in the background. Why do I need to prove this to you?

Doubt that , 150k player and its going up , performance wise the game was absolutely perfect from the start... it is , what it is.

You can look at the steam hardware survey. You can see you literally represent .1% of people who play on steam. Please get some perspective.

Even though I'm not the 1% of gamers it runs a smooth 90 fps on max graphics settings

i get between 70-100 fps (capped to 100)

but actual question is if i go hardest difficulty would i get less than 60 fps? cause bigger hordes draw more resource.

It doesn't work like that. A 4080 is about 3-4x the power of the 1080 and you'll see that difference in all games regardless of whether the game released yesterday or in 2015. Unless the person has an issue with their rig.

My performance goes to ♥♥♥♥ basically no matter the settings as soon as there's a lot happening on screen. Tried it with most settings maxed out as well as everything on medium. My rig is dated but, still...
I heard people claim it runs well on Deck with most settings on minimum, so maybe its non-hardware related in my case? Another thing to add is that programs that run in the background like a YT vid in Firefox occasionally stutter when the game is running.

Force v sync off in nvidia control panel and put scalling mode on monitor not gpu

Look at the minimum spec sheet. You are way too under equipped to be running medium.

60 fps is not good frame rate and not running well. 120 fps is a good frame rate and running well.
