HELLDIVERS™ 2

HELLDIVERS™ 2

İstatistiklere Bak:
How does liberating a planet work?
it's pretty obvious that when you complete a mission it adds percentage of liberation, but what makes the percentage go down? i've yet to see it go down

The snow planet was at like 80% yesterday so it dropped. I might be failed missions that cause it, but I'm not sure.
the devs make the percentage go down to not release content yet

that i would wanna see proof of. since this is the entire premise of the game. if you're telling us its totally rigged and controlled by the devs then theres no point in playing
if it follows the rules of helldivers 1, then there is a algorithm that periodically reduces the liberation score. Ive also heard rumors that this algorithm has been updated to adapt to the amount of people. You could say, the enemy is adapting and pushing back periodcially. But the adaptive thingy is just something I hear from a streamer.
ngl kinda ruins it for me. i thought we was all contributing to this huge war table but knowing theres an algorithm that keeps it where it wants it. eh not as interesting of a game if thats true
it constantly goes down when players play it counters the drop.
So if players dont play it gets to zero and then the faction conquers it and it pushes the line back to super earth closer and closer. The fact they left cyborgs so far from where they placed bugs.Tells you even in this game no one plays against cyborgs cos they shoot back.

Because it's trying to simulate that the bugs actually take over things too? Or else it'd only ever rise in our favor. That'd be the odd part.

its all bogus, depending on wether or not the devs are ready to release the next stage of content or not

My guess is that it scales with player base. The % has dropped with an increase in player base. Makes sense so that the missions aren't completed too quickly.
So how it works is that when you complete the missions you add progress to us liberating the planet. We need to liberate it to 100% to move on closer to the enemy’s base. If you fail (pretty sure not completing the main objectives. Not really sure) then we lose points. If a planet becomes 0% liberated they move closer to super earth and of they get to super earth and I think if we don’t defend it well enough then it’s basically game over.

Now I will say some of this I’m taking from Helldivers 1 as I think it would be almost the same. But I have heard from others saying disconnects does hurt us in points. Not sure if that’s true or not.
How could a planet go from 98% before we went in, got a victory and then it showed 63%??? What gives? Seems sus, what if everyone was playing to liberate it, would it still it reset?
I think it might be planet inactivity. Since people arent playing Melevalon creek, inactivity on the planet may cause the progress to reverse.

You do, its just the enemies pushes back too. Its a long war comrade.

I mean you kinda have to figure. These are human colonies that bugs either escaped outta their farms, or Automatons (and Cyborgs depending on if they are descendants or troops of?) trying to get territory back. So it'd make sense that both factions keep wanting to reinvade and take that planet back over. It's gotta stay fresh, if a planet is conquered forever, there's no content

well i'd imagine the table resets after completion. The bugs arent really "pushing back" are they. if the only way to lose ground is for people to fail missions then technically speaking if every single player stopped playing tomorrow and then all agreed to come back 1 week later then the map/liberation would still be the same. if it did move then yes clearly the devs have an automated system that just makes the liberation meters jump up and down which means really our contribution is next to nothing since we could hit 99.9% and the devs can go nope 60%
