How is the optimization?
I have 16gb ram, 2070 and I7-9700k, playing 1080p, how will it run roughly?

My brother is running a 2060, i5-9600k OC'ed at 1080p and it chugs bad for him. They lied about the recommended hardware. I spent yesterday and today trying to tweak it for him messing with settings, updating drivers, making sure his system wasn't getting bogged down by other things etc. Nope.

He'll get around 50-60 on the ship, but it doesn't look like it. Not smooth at all with weird stuttering. On missions it's even worse, even on Easy difficulty without many mobs. They just didn't optimize for lower end hardware, like at all. The fact they mention a 2060 in their requirements is hilarious.

Thats not right, frined plays on 1080p with an Ryzen7, 1080ti, 16Gb ram and SSD installation, maxed out nearly stable 60FPS.

Many people get constant crashing, which can be harmful to your PC.

I mean, if the app is crashing no biggie, if the pc crashes then that's a bigger problem

Optimization isn't great, i have the recommended system requirements and i can't play without FSR on ULTRA QUALITY or else frames will be around 48 to 60, very unstable.
Now with resolution on Ultra Quality (FSR) frames go up to 80 and during some missions they drop to 56 minimum.
Not very well optimized but you can get it working if you mess with the settings until you get stable fps.
I've got an rx 6600 gpu, ryzen 5 5500 cpu and 16gb(2x8) 3200mhz ddr4 ram sticks.

As far as to answer your question OP, been playing it with 2 friends and my boyfriend. My PC is about 2-4 years old on parts towards the higher side, my bf's is also about 3-5 years old on parts toward the mid-range budget end, one our friends has a top of the line modern PC, and another has a PC that's 7+ years old and we're all running it fine with no crashes and great performance.

If you don’t believe the multiple posts of people complaining about this issue, buy it & see if it crashes for you, if you want. You’ve got a 2-hour refund.

Not good, i get 5 fps difference on ultra vs low, early difficulty with not many enemies, 60 fps, but in hard mode, good luck, fps are all over the place

I think you will be able to get up to 80 fps, depending one how ugly you are willing to make it. You should get 60 without tanking the image fidelity. It's not well optimised though, fps will be over the place.

Running i7-8700k stock, RTX 3080, 16GB RAM, SSD at 3440x1440p. At High preset, Ultra quality resolution scaling, I get between 115 (my FPS cap) and 85 FPS. Feels very smooth to me with those settings even with tons of enemies on challenging difficulty. I have not made it higher yet. At native resolution scale, or Ultra settings it does not feel smooth on my hardware. My CPU is pretty old so I know I have CPU bottle neck in many games.

Hope this helps anyone. You can also just buy, play for 2 hrs or less, and refund if performance is not good.
