EXTREME TEMPERATURE
Is there anyone with extreme temperature while gaming? I have 97°C all the time while playing this game. Game is not crashing or anything but seems to me that is a too much. other games are 70°C max 85°C. What do you guys think?

The game has no in-game fps limiter, so your cores are working at 100% all the time. To fix this, go into your graphics card control panel (For me it's Nvidia control panel) and manually cap the FPS for Helldivers 2.

This fixed it for me.
capped to 100 works fine temps are below 65c

I'm assuming you mean CPU temps. It's possible that the game design is more CPU loaded than most other games. Higher CPU reliant games are often those like RTS games or procedural generation games, because of the calculations the game needs to make with the AI and mobs and environments etc. I'm sure there's optimization required too, but I don't think it should be this extreme (else, we would see way more complaints about system related issues all around).

Anyway, regular games shouldn't see your CPU temps at 70 to 85c, i don't think (maybe if you're running a 1080p monitor at 360fps?). So, it may be revealing some inherent thermal issues with your cooler or CPU now that this game is hitting 97c. Worth further investigation with proper CPU load testing (not game/graphics testing, which would be more GPU bound).

What cpu and what cooling do you have. That is pretty high, check cpu fan, airflow, etc. Are u using a monitor app like MSI Afterburner, is the cpu at 100%.

80-802c is fine.
Anything over 85 is concerning. Might be time to open the case clean it out and replace your fans. This runs at 82 for me when most things are like 46-70.

This is the first time that a game has made my PC heat up this much.
I have the impression that it's going to burn.
It makes no sense.

Download MSIAB and cap the gpu heat at like 82 or lower just to be safe.

I'm a reseller, you'll never make me buy an AMD.
way too much feedback. But we are not here for an endless debate on Intel AMD.

So I had the same issue, this worked for me.

The game has no in-game fps limiter, so your cores are working at 100% all the time. To fix this, go into your graphics card control panel (For me it's Nvidia control panel) and manually cap the FPS for Helldivers 2.

This fixed it for me.

Some games run better on amd some on intel. Don’t think it really matters which as a whole. I’ve used both and encountered the same issues on both at different times. Go for the best performance you can afford and ignore wether it’s and/intel. Just make sure you pick that before your board.

To add to this remember if you use an auros board that you need to cap it in RTSS since it overwrites Nvidias fps setting. It’s also worth mentioning the game can become unstable and crash if your gpu temp exceeds 80c for a prolonged period and using MSIAB to set a temp limit of 79 or lower can resolve that.

So you'd rather use intel that is following AMD's old bulldozer method of just ramp more voltage into the system its fine :D don't worry :D

don't care for the debate myself but AMD is clearly on top these days

I9-9900x user here, even at load my temps don't go above 45c.
