Why is no one talking about the music?

This score slaps! It's not afraid to be front and center, gets me amped up! I felt like the Starship Troopers game music wasn't bombastic enough. It just kinda existed in the background. I can tell a lot of work went into it so thanks guys!

Now, after hundreds of missions will it get annoying? I hope not.

Not trying to hate as I love the game so far. thoroughly enjoying it but the music is by far the most disappointing aspect so far for me. Its nowhere near as good as HD1 music. Just listen to some of the beats in HD1. I do enjoy the main theme when you enter a mission and extract but the music that plays during missions for the majority of playtime is just.....there......half the time I am not even aware of it. In HD1 it got me pumped and I added the soundtrack on youtube lol.

I am loving the music! Literally the first thing that sold me on the game was hearing the theme. Listening to the theme while descending in the pods to the planet really sets up the entire game.

I'm sad the original HD1 theme didn't make it's way into this game

I know I'm late in commenting. But the theme "A Cup Of Liber-tea" is just an absolute heroic bop. It's definitely going in my list of Video Game OST's. The credit theme is also a banger.

After playing Helldivers 2 for ~80 hours, I turned its music off, opened Helldivers 1 OST in my foobar2k playlist - and I play Helldivers 2 with music from Helldivers 1. Johan Lindgren made a masterpiece OSTs for both the Helldivers and Magicka. I miss his music so much in H2. His music was one of the biggest things that made me return to H1 and Magicka back and back, and back again. After playing H1 for 750+ hours H2 OST doesn't catch me at all... H2 OST sounds like a mediocre generic music for a movie about some intergalactic space war.

All scores are well put together, i like how the music transitions intensity from danger levels. The instruments chosen and notes all tie in well together. Termanids have a starship trooper vibe and automations have the Terminator vibe. No complains or suggestions.

I muted the music because I'd rather hear the bugs breathing around a corner.

It makes you better at the game to mute music.

If I want to jam out while playing, I'll use Spotify or Pandora instead.
