medals are also a pain on page 6, so speed missions are great for that but being able to know I have more time so check points of interest is nice
And the timer is very mercyfull...
The timer just helps set a pace. But going over time doesn't end the game, it takes away reinforcements, and stratagems. However, if you completed the main objective, and everyone dies. It still counts as a victory. You just don't get bonus points for the extraction, and you do not keep the resources you found.
No, I'd like it to stay. I feel games like this need some kind of time pressure, particularly since you have multiple ways to restock ammunition/health supplies, so theoretically with no timer, exploration becomes trivial.
At the moment, exploration is a risk-reward decision.
So you basically cannot lose?
since there is no team tether in any way, the tether is just that the game is hard as balls, so you should stick together, but the low timer gives incentive to go solo missioning and complete as many things as possible spreading out
