Without a timer, what’s the point?
To kill bugs, and complete objectives? Not sure why a timer gives it purpose.
If anything, they should just make it so bug patrols become more frequent as time goes on. Far better solution than "Your personal dreadnought abandoning you because you took 40 minutes".
You can explore all you want. The mission timer means nothing other than removing respawns and statagems. Grow the ♥♥♥♥ up.
it runs counter to the idea of packing maps full of side objectives and incentivizing exploration, especially with how long it takes to get everywhere on foot and with some of the stupid objective placement that you can get
the first game didn't need a timer to be challenging (or limited lives for that matter) so why does this one?
Bro it’s Helldivers. These missions aren’t supposed to relax you
This is correct. No Strategems, including respawn strategems for other players
have "time critical" missions that give bonus rewards for completing, but other missions you can stay in all day if you want.
