Yep, the game is woke, but it should be noted that it's done in a subtle way for the most part. For example, there's body type instead of sex and/or gender, there are female voices even when one chooses the male option, the intro shows a multi-racial marriage (regardless of being killed by a huge bug), it mocks US culture to no end, and it's published by Sony.
