On Suicide Squad? You really don't think they are deleting negative reviews, and that it's really just mysteriously ridiculously well liked on Steam reviews but despised on metacritic?
This, Suicide Squad is loaded with a large amount of clowns. I just wanna shoot shizz.

If this doesn't seem fun to you then I dunno what to tell you.. You ain't a gamer.
I'm wary of this too, but I don't think of Valve as a participant of the culture war at all. Maybe I've missed something on this?
Helldivers 2 has a repetitive mission structure, no story content, microtransactions, and even now is struggling to run correctly for most people.
Don't get me wrong, I like Helldivers 2, but the reviews are justified. I haven't gotten through even a single mission where at least one person hasn't disconnected, and trying to run a mission with 2 or less people is pain.
I havent played Suicide Squad and have no dog in that fight - but why is the score stratospherically different between Meta and Steam?
Metacritic doesn't require you to play a game to be able to review it. Often times things are positively or negatively reviewed on Metacritic for memes or by some sort of popularity contest. Hell, some of the greatest games ever had horrible reviews on metacritic, and vice versa.
While Steam isn't always the most accurate example of the quality of a game, I've never found it to be too off the mark. Not that a poorly reviewed game on Steam is an indicator of quality, but that the Steam version might have issues.
Here's my read of the system.
Overwhelmingly Positive
Good value for money, and probably plays buttery smooth on the right hardware.
Very Positive
Either very good at what it does with a great port, or an excellent game in any regard with a mediocre port.
Mostly Positive
It's either something that doesn't have a lot of content, but a fun game. Worth it on a sale. Or a great game which requires a really good computer to run half-decently. Or something that only a niche group of people would find enjoyable.
Mixed
Good game with a bad port. Or a bad game with a good port.
Mostly Negative
The amount of problems would require a year of fixing to make it good.
