Starship Troopers rip-off?

Wondering if this a blatant IP rip off of Starship Troopers? noting their new game Extermination released in Early Access almost a year ago.

Starship Troopers is based off of the movie while this is based off HD1; there are zero enemies that share similarities. Not to mention, this one has endless amounts more unique content than Starship Troopers.

This game also has way more systems that Starship doesn't have.

• Does Starship Troopers have Stratagrams? No.
  
• Does Helldivers 2 have buildings like in Starship Troopers? No.
  
• Does Starship Troopers have Hellpods, Modules, or Boosters? No.

There aren't even any similarities I could name between the two. By your logic, HD2 is a rip-off of Starship Troopers because it's an Alien shooter -

They changed enough to avoid being sued. Otherwise it is basically a Starship Troopers ripoff. I'd call it a love letter, but seeing as they are competing against actual Starship Troopers with their sequel it is definitely more ripping them off.

Different games entirely, one is basically wave defense, the other is more on the extraction shooter side.

Both are owned by sony so IDK how this thread is still going, I even forgor I was subbed to it.
