they have a splash text that literally says 'hellbombs are manually activated due to budgetary reasons' its basically in lore for them to have weirdly cheap ♥♥♥♥
It actually is wrist-mounted, if you look at the animation when you have the minimap displaying. This is presumably the reason it stops displaying when you start using your gun or sprint, because you're no longer looking at your wrist to see the map display.
It's done on purpose, in fact, you can't even use the weapons while checking it... that and other small design decisions creates the difficulty.
You are not supposed to see always where the enemies are on a map, but to look around you. Also quick look on map is what? a second?:)
I did not have any, problem with that, totally none and never, in HD 1 as well as in HD2 it is just something you have to get used to it, click look create a pin (which you can see always on top of the screen) and go.
" these controls feel F_cking god awful!"" you can set up you own controls :D So not game and devs have a problem, but you have a problem ;) If you don´t like it, just don´t play it is that easy.
