Anyone running on a GTX 970?
Sup gamers,
I have a i7-4900k and GTX 970 with 32GB of RAM. Anyone running similar specs? Let me know what your experience is like and what settings you're using. Thanks

You have got to be getting tired of asking if every big new game will run well on a 970 and inevitably discovering the answer is no.

nah i literally have never asked this question before. The 970 has held up fine for games that are well optimized. Are you saying this game probably isnt?

Probably would get 60 on medium settings or higher depending on how you tweak, i got 30fps on potato UHD 770

32 gigs of ram on a 970 is wild lol

I was looking at older video cards somewhere else, Reddit I think, and you're looking at ~30-40 FPS on medium at 1080p.

Sounds bad tbh. Maybe slightly higher on low, but not much.

I am playing the game on a GTX 1070 and a i7 7700k, with 32GB of RAM. Game is running well, I will have occasional lag but nothing game breaking on mostly high settings, game is built for consoles anyways.

I haven't ran game with a performance view open on Task manager, but it feels like the game is more GPU limited than CPU limited

You should be able to, it's pretty old but with everything on LOW and changing the hardware settings to max performance (if you never tweaked the graphic card panel settings) you should be able to play but don't expect a lot.

You are going to need to run 1080p and set everything on low. Even then I bet you will get dips down into the 30's in heavy action.

sell it for $5 and put the $5 towards a 2080TI minimum, maybe a 3070, dont cheap out on vram, and upgradey our cpu and motherboard so you dont get bottlenecked.

A 970 is good... for running the very first halo game ever made

Upgraded from a 1070 to Amd 6650xt which is basically a 3070/4060.

I get 1440p80fps but with fsr and most settings on low. Love the game but I don't see why such a small map incurs such a performance burden.

I wouldn't recommend it on a 970 unless you are ok with 720p 30hz

Literally was only to play escape from Tarkov and it made a huge difference
I have a desktop with a 980 that runs the game really well on low, idk how different then 970 is from a 980 but dunno if that helps.
