Hold down R for more weapon Details

As the title says. A friend got my attention on the matter, that if you hold down R (In Mission) you gain extra options for the weapon you carry. Like changing rate of fire (right mouse button) or changing scope (mouse wheel up).

Thought to share the insight cause personally I may have missed that part in the tutorial and was NOT aware about it.

no. while in the mission you can hold R to tweak things like fire mode, flashlight toggle, and different optics zeroed to different ranges

Like MarcoPants mentioned, its within the MIssion itself when you are holding a gun.

Does this not work all of the time? I often cannot bring this menu up unless 'requisition' text pops up in the right side of the HUD, and then only very briefly.

I couldn't figure out how to select the fire rate (PC here)... what am I missing? Vertical selection for crosshairs and flashlight works fine.

Semi auto for the liberator (assault rifle) makes it 100x better on difficulties up to hard, especially against cyborgs as you can onetap everyone in the head.

Burst fire is pretty nice for the smg too, makes it pretty good at longer ranges as well as staying reliable in close quarters.

Depends on the weapon, some weapons have a fixed firerate like the marksman rifle, whereas some weapons don't have scope or flashlight settings.

Makes sense, but I can see the different options for FR (I think it was the MG), just no way to select them.

Oh weird.
For the top column(scope) you cycle them by scrolling up, bottom(flashlight) is scrolling down, right side (firing mode) is right mouse button.

Maybe that helps?

on some guns its just a straight upgrade like the mg 42 or stalmar can shoot 25% faster each, the railgun can be set to unsafe, on snipers theres a different zoom level, its never explained that you can do all of this
