Nprotect = Uninstall and refund for me
For those that are not aware of the anti-cheat software that Helldivers 2 utilizes, Nprotect is among the worst available. It is a kernal level anti cheat that has access to all of your computer's files. In addition, this software is notoriously difficult to uninstall, and may require a 3rd party app to get rid of. I requested a refund specifically due to the anti-cheat that they included with this game.

Yes, rootkits = no purchase. Somehow they managed to have a very successfull game (Helldivers 1) without using PC cancer software, so why they felt the need to include it on HD2 is mind-boggling.

I am amazed at how a couple of completely ridiculous web articles about anti-cheat have mushed the brains of half of the people leaving discussions and reviews on this game. The Windows store is more malicious to your system than Nprotect...

Another person that feels that their opinion and actions are important to the group at large. This isn't an airport, you don't have to announce your departure.

God how I hate posts like this... It's called kernel... for christs sake, if you want to troll, google at least how stuff is written. Pretty much every anti cheat engine is a rootkit, from Easy Anti Cheat to nProtect. They need this rights to watch over the application and check it.
Not saying I'm a fan of it, but if you don't have the budged to implement your own anti cheat Engine(which is NOT easy...) you take one of those...

i feel like 90% of all these comments "I'm not getting this because it has a Chinese anti cheat thing" is Americans who absolutely refuses to use any Chinese program cus of propaganda or some ♥♥♥♥.

and then is mad cus they cant play the game themselfs beacuse they wont let themselfs beacuse of the anti cheat and now they wanna spread that the game just sucks.

i have played a couple missions i had very fun then the servers got overloaded cus i guess they did not count on this many people which has happened to other games at launch before.

so yeh its good they just gotta fix the servers.

I mean instead of yelling Tinfoil hat owner, or whatever. It could be someone who's genuinely concerned about what runs in the background of their/your PC and what it might be doing. I know I don't want that ♥♥♥♥ on my PC. It's not just random people that warn about it either. It's also people who have experience in the industry. Anyway, good looking out.

I would rather play with cheaters all day than have something like that on my computer. I don't think that makes me or anyone crazy. I think it just means that I care a little bit.

It's from the Anti-China side of Korea.

Nobody cares that they have anticheat, people were concerned about this ones quality and looking at how launch is going it seems the concern may be valid.

You play Lost Ark which uses EAC, which funnily enough you said you were afraid in The Finals.

And you play Destiny 2 which uses Battleye which is also a rootkit anti cheat.

You are scared of a cold when you already have the flu, twice.

You as well.

You play Destiny 2, you already have Battleye installed which is a rootkit, and a bad one at it's job. (look up NoEye. it's literally that easy to bypass)

You people don't even know what you're scared of; knock it off already.
I have to agree here since installing the game, my pc randomly started turning itself on, taking abnormally long to boot and display. Required bios values to be reset and kept turning itself on every 20 or so minutes from a shutdown not sleep. First time this has ever happened. I've uninstalled the game this morning and it no longer turns itself on and boots up and displays in normal time.

The issue occured only after installing and dissapeared after uninstalling.

This is with a aorus master z790 master motherboard with BIOS 12e

Very odd issue but it happened and it only happened when installed and disappeared when uninstalled. So it is literally the only thing it can be objectively.

So open up event viewer and show the logs instead of just speculating at the cause.

I already proved in another thread GG is not running all the time:
https://imgur.com/a/FdTtYJI

So how would it cause all of that?
it wouldn't. correlation is not causation

Another possibility is the game pushed your hardware a little too hard and your old cooling solution started to fail. Failing cooling would cause everything you mention.
