Audio Issues?

Getting extremely crunchy/clipping/laggy audio when there's lots of gunfire and explosions happening. Haven't found anyone else with this issue on Twitch, Steam community, or Reddit. Anyone get this and have a fix? Doesn't seem related at all to performance as FPS is still fine and not dropping much when it happens.

Specs: RTX 2070, i7-10750H, 16 GB RAM, Windows 10

I have the same issue as you, I get the same crunchy and extreme stuttering audio whenever there is any gunfire and the fps drops as well. I have the same 2070 (Laptop) and Ryzen 9 3900, Windows 10. Hoping for a fix too, it is extremely unplayable and piercing to my ears.

I notice this, too. There's also a poor audio grain in the background ambiance, while on the ship. When one of the crewmen are talking, however, it goes away, only to resume the static after their dialogue.

I had this issue with my ps4 controller plugged in by usb. when I tried using the headphone jack on my PC instead of the ps4 controller it fixed it. I think it might be the frequency range of the ps4 controller. it's only 32000hz but my PCs onboard audio does 48000hz.

same issues and framedrops why i refunded, because with more enemies on higher difficulties i think it wont be playable at all.

Same here crackling all over the place when gunfire, i de-and reinstalled all drivers still Garbage, i disabled controller Audio but still GARBAGE, its so frusttrating by now and really infiuriates me till the point that i would love to throw something, like honestly i tried every fricking solution by now nothing works ffs

Yep, same issue, i dont have the best computer in teh world, she does alright, but ill get CRAZY frame drops to like 17 FPS and the the audio just goes out the window.

I have a suspicion the audio problems are tied to frames per second. With that, the only immediate solution might be a hardware upgrade. I can confirm that in a few days, when I get some parts in...

its happen with my bluetooth headset
I tried to turn off the mic on my headphones with setting in windows, but only disabling the handsfree helped

here's how to do:

1. Open Windows Settings.
   
2. Choose Bluetooth & devices tab.
   
3. Click on Devices section and then scroll down to select More devices and printer settings. This will open the control panel.
   
4. There, locate your Bluetooth device, right click on it, and select Properties.
   
5. From services tab disable handsfree telephony option. (and other handsfree option)
   
6. Restart (turn off and on again) your headphones.

I have a sound card that uses a fiber connection to my speakers. I don't have bad audio. I would urge you to make sure all your audio drivers are up to date and playing with the audio settings of the game. I did make adjustments to the graphics options but I wouldn't think that would impact the audio. My eyes hate motion blur so I always turn off that off and any other options that would mess with my eyes.

Having only 16Gb of Ram isn't a good idea either if I'm honest. Good advice would be to upgrade to 32Gb.
