Super Credits and medals
Now that the game is out, do we have numbers for these currencies?
-How much do warbonds cost?
-How much do the individual items in the warbonds cost to unlock?
-How many of each currency can we expect to acquire?
-How exactly do you earn the two currencies?

You buy warbonds by using medals you earn by playing missions, so "how much" depends on how you value your time. Can't buy medals with money either, so a weird question. Warbonds are basically an XP bar.

The super credits you can buy with medals as part of warbonds, or at about 1USD / 100 credits. Store seems limited, but most expensive thing in it is suit of armor for 250.

This part is good to know, thank you.

Honestly, I'm surprised (pleasantly, tho) about the store, it seems really tame, but we'll see in the future I guess.
And again, the important thing (to me anyhow) is Warbonds is not a battlepass as people misinterpreted it, it's basically just an extra skilltree of sorts you unlock as you play for new cosmetics, weapons, etc. Ultimatelly not different than "Gun X unlocks after playing 25 missions", except you choose what exactly to unlock.

It's also worth mentioning that there is no fomo. Every Warbond stays in the game and you can complete it at a later point.
The amount of medals (the currency that unlocks stuff in Warbonds) you get seems a bit stingy to me.... I only played 2 hours so far though.
It definitely will get grindy.

I never thought of it as a battlepass. My main concern was how easy it is to earn super credits vs just buying them. If the grind is too much, the warbonds might as well be dlc at that point.

Do you have numbers? How many medals have you gotten in those 2 hours? How many medals does each warbond item cost?

-How much do warbonds cost?
Premium warbond/battlepass cost $10 to unlock (1,000 supercredits)

-How much do the individual items in the warbonds cost to unlock?
AFAIK, you unlock the items with in-game currency only (warmedals) and can't be bought with real money

-How many of each currency can we expect to acquire?
medals = 1-4 from mission (higher difficulty might give more, not sure yet), then some side missions will give you a lot. I have bought all the items from first page already.

supercredit = I got 10 Supercredit by opening a box during the mission. I think it has 100% chance to have atleast one box for each mission? need to be tested more.

fyi, the free warbond gives u 700 supercredits, so you will need to grind another 300 sc from the missions if you decided to stay f2p.

-How exactly do you earn the two currencies?
medals = from missions and side missions onetime rewards
premium currency = real money, random box in the world during mission.

We had it long time ago.

You can earn 20 credits per hour and one warbond costs 1000 .... so you can earn 1 warbond per 50 hours of playing.

Very informative, thank you. What about strategems? Are those upgraded/unlocked with medals? If so how many are needed?

50 hours for 1 warbond? Sounds too much of a grind to me, yikes. I guess it depends on how much stuff is in each warbond.
Avuja Feb 8, 2024 @ 5:14am
Randomly found some super credits on a mission at a wreck site that my character spotted as a point of interest.
Tokyo Banana Feb 8, 2024 @ 5:15am
The free warbond that comes with the game has 100 tiers including 10 tiers of 100 Super Credits (1000 total). So if you max out the free warbond you can buy the 30 tier premium warbond for free with those credits if you wanted.

The Deluxe Edition includes the premium warbond though so if you bought that you can use the credits to buy item shop stuff I guess. (or save them for a future warbond lol)

Personally I did the three mission to complete the "Personal Order" (I'm assuming a daily) so I've earned about 20 medals which was enough for me to finish off the 1st of 8 levels on the warbond. I didn't pay too much attention to the rest of them but I don't think the medals required go up by much if any so I'm guessing around 20-30 per level of the warbond and you can get 6 every two mission on medium and the amount per mission increases as the difficulty does. But I'd say if the Personal orders are dailies then you should be able to easily "complete" a warbond playing a couple hours everyday. I know that kinda sounds like a lot but the warbonds come back so there's no rush to finish them. Also as people have stated the only things in the "Superstore" are Armour. The chest pieces do have stats but they aren't that good in my opinion and the cape and helmet aren't that cool personally. Plus I've earned enough credits in 3 missions to buy the more expensive armour anyway so even if it was something you'd want, you can earn it in game easy enough to not have to spend money. :boomer:

After seeing Tokyo Banana's comment I went back to check out the warbonds and did see that I can see up to level 10 so there's that and I did want to double check what I said about the medal costs going up and I was wrong. the prices go up as the levels increase so perhaps saving the super credits you earn every level is what you'd want to do if you want to avoid grind. But as Avuja said before I also found some lying around on a mission so Warbonds aren't the only way to earn them
