Waiting to get it on GeForce Now
This game was initially at the top of my anticipated list, but after delving into the feedback from fellow gamers, I find myself reconsidering. I've decided to exercise patience and await the release of a playable version on GeForce Now. This way, I can sidestep the headaches of dealing with an intrusive anti-cheat system on my PC and avoid the hassle of troubleshooting crashes – I'll leave those issues in the capable hands of the GeForce Now team.

Unfortunately, it won't come to Geforce Now until their publisher Playstation allows their games on the service. Currently no games published by PS are on Geforce Now due to Sony's decision against cloud gaming. With the exception of Death Stranding but that was published by 505 games.

Basically it will cut into sales of their consoles. So don't expect it anytime soon or at least until games like God of War, TLOU, Rachet and Clank, Spiderman, etc join the service. I would guess at least a few years minimum.

Dont get me wrong, I wish it would go to Geforce Now, but it would be a miracle if it did and we would probably see others like God of War or something before Helldivers 2.

That's is okey, there are other cloud based services that can circumvent these blocking issues like shadow.tech :]

Shadow sadly costs 2.5x what GFN does :( $50/mo for inferior hardware (3070 vs 4080)... I hope Sony reconsiders their stance on this stuff :( Microsoft eventually partnered with GFN too (xCloud streaming was crap).

Eww cloud based gaming? We aren’t even going to own our hardware anymore…

People who can afford to buy the hardware, and who only want to game with desktop PCs, can. For everyone else, streaming is an option.

I can't afford a gaming PC anymore, with how expensive GPUs are these days.

You don't need an expensive gpu to play most pc games if you aim for a reasonable resolution, a 3060ti or anything similar will play any game at 1080p ultra with no issues at all, excluding rt workloads, this game runs between 60-70+ fps on ultra native with a 3060ti.

Maybe, but that's still like $1k for a whole PC, for a pretty inferior experience compared to the 100+ FPS on max settings I often get on GFN for $240/year, not to mention a lot of heat, noise, and electricity costs from running the GPU on full blast locally.

I used to build & play on gaming desktops, but in my old age, GFN overall is just a lot nicer and waaaaaay more convenient. The only downside is having such a small library and having to beg every developer/publisher to opt-in :(

Helldivers 2 has started to freeze on launch on AWS machines - both Nvidia A10G and T4. The game ran without issue first weeks after release. Not anymore unfortunately :o( It freezes right after starting the game, on the first screen, choose language. Freezes the whole machine, needs a reboot.

EDIT: The freeze seems to be caused by the anti-cheat software that disables keyboard and mouse input. That is the reason why the screen appears non-responding. Anyone knows a workaround for Sunshine Moonlight?

I use boosteroidto stream it, a bit of a hassle to get an extra subscription but it works

My 7 year old GTX 1060 Strix (approx £80 GPU) runs it at a constant 52 - 63 FPS at 1080p ok that might be on the lowest settings for everything apart from draw distance been set to max, but its still an enjoyable experience that just shows you that gaming on a budget is achievable
