Anyone else have their antivirus detect gameguard as malware ? lol

It's because the kernel level anti cheat they use scans your whole computer and goes through your files. If it detects cheating software anywhere on your pc and you use it you will be banned.

Not that strange. Look up GameGuard, kernel level anti-cheat, and rootkit. A lot of malware would want to be rootkits if they could because it gives great access to the whole computer.
It's probably a false positive, but I wouldn't want it in my computer.

this is the first game where game guard was detected as malware. or any kernel level anti cheat for that matter. Vanguard from Riot never set it off.

My antiviris also flagged Tribes 3 demo, Happened to a few games ive played before. Just don't have cheat software on your computer. That simple. If you cheat then stay away from this lol.

Nah I hate cheaters. At most I have mods for lethal company but I make sure the thunderstore isnt running when I play games with anticheat. Only cheating ive done was cheat codes back on early console days. haha

Vanguard from Riot absolutely set off alarm bells on my PC. I never finished the Valorant installation because of it.

Easy anti cheat did that to my friend when he was playing hunt showdown. He believes lightservice triggered it and tried to appeal with them. Crytek said there was nothing they could do and EAC said " it wasnt a mistake" without elaborating at all. so hes kinda screwed

Anti cheats are not flagged as malware by anti virus unless it's actually behaving like malware.
