Is this game based on the book series ?

It's loosely based on Dio's Holy Diver, which is loosely based on my ass, which I pulled that out of.

Its heavily based on the first one. All they really did is change the perspective and make it so you have to try to get friendly fire. That and like bacon said Dio's Holy Diver.

so is it or not. im a book reader and if its based on em I would enjoy it while playing

No, it's not. I was interested in this as well but it seems like only the concept of people diving from spaceships is the same. There are some YouTube reviews if you wanna check it out.
