because the universe will implode in itself if you can't play at the exact same second the gates are opening up. :D

Its more for my friends and I to all play together I don't want them all to wait on my download to take an extra hour or 2 compared to them, pre-loads are just always a nice thing to have, think its a reasonable question to ask :D

Matter of perspective. I'm 38 and what me and my friends with who I still play together learned in the past decades since online games exist is that we never plan any gaming session on release days. Not even on the 2nd day. That is a golden rule for a reason.

Thats fair and ya I never expect day 1's to be great but its just more theres no harm in having a pre-load, my internet atm is atrocious so doing a download takes usually an extra hour or 2 and it cripples the internet as well so I try to preload overnight to effect the least people possible cause if I do it the day of then its effecting the household as well

Hour or 2? it takes me a whole day or 2 to download these modern games.

Oh ya most modern games takes 8 hours plus, I meant like an hour or 2 longer than my friends sometimes way more, this one is I believe I read is a 25Gb download thankfully not 100 😂 but ya this is exactly why I love when games have pre-loading, we all win and can download and have it ready

I don't know how often you preorder games but it's usually a few days ahead of release so we never would have even known until this week.

Depends on the game but have pre-ordered many times and it varies, sometimes they have it a week in advance, or have announced it somewhere in twitter or a discord server so I figured it was harmless to ask if anyone knew anything, hard to keep up on ever form of social media for everything, a simple no or unsure is all anyone had to say

Yeah unfortunately with steam they are pretty freeform, however the vast majority of games, if they have one at all, is within a 2 day window.

Elden Ring was like that, Persona 3 Reload just now was like that, etc... They are releasing the infographic with this information tomorrow, so who knows, maybe tomorrow will be it.

And I agree with you but so far Arrowhead's media/marketing for this game has been pretty weird.
