How come it's 40$ instead of 60?
I'm unfamiliar with the developer, but this looks like a tripple A game so i'm curious if the price tag is a sign of how the monetization will function.

I mean, if you really want to spend 60$ you can buy the deluxe version. They got you covered.

Probably planning to sell your privacy via backdoor malware using GameGuard.

*Sarcasm...or is it?*

Has nothing to do with the pricing of the title.

Are you a fan of Nazi germany media tactics or why do you spam every single discussion?

It was supposed to come out of nowhere.
And I said it because you keep trying to force an unrelated topic onto other topics with the hope to make everything look bad and related to that one thing you do not like.

Those others topics are just this, right? Only this where I made a point it's also a joke, right?

Pal, think. Companies don't go out of their way to get less money, there's often a reason for that be it microtransactions or lack of content. It's not a complicated concept.

I mean, in this case its probably the very small expected audience and the type of game.
Deep Rock Galactic is a 30€ game. 10 when its on sale which happens every 8 weeks.

DRG has no anti cheat, no DRM, open modding support with developer verified mods, no microtransactions and no paid battlepass.
The only reason that its 30€ is cuz the devs felt like charging more wouldnt be right.

That's true but it's important to note that when DRG released (in early access especially) Ghost Ship games were nowhere close to the size and infuence they are now.

I'd say more apt comparision could be something like Fatshark with Darktide. Also a 40$ game with a very expensive cosmetic shop. I'm not saying that Helldivers 2 will follow that trend but i'm trying to stay cautious considering i have to experience with Arrowhead.

You do make a good point though, PvE games like this are pretty nieche.

Helldivers 1 is 20$ game with 5$ packs for skins and additional skills/weapons.
So you can expect the same here.
Probably in the end to get full access to all content you'll end up paying between 100-200$+

I'd say 40-60$ is already too much for multiplayer where player count is game's lifeblood. You want more players, not less. They should lower the base price and make up difference with cash shop instead.

Well, supposedly the Arrowhead CMs claimed that there are no plans for DLC exclusive weapons this time around.
I dont believe that, but we will see. I certainly wont buy any of that if they release such things. Im over and done with it. Last game where I bought every gun was a hunting game. I regret every cent.
If the game is fun Im fine with having spent 60 and thats all they will get from me.
