What is the Game's Secrets Based Around? (Spoilers)
If you go along the path you are supposed to, you'll find nothing, but the more you rebel against the narrator and go down different paths, the more "The Yellow King" gets mentioned. All these weird things happen like being watched by the yellow king and the strangest was when you are destroying the music player and the machine mentions how The Yellow King is a play directly linked to Forbidden Information, AKA Cthulu.

All of this seemed pretty interesting, but I'm just kinda confused to what it all means. Is the game something secretly based around the yellow king? I 100% it, I'm just not sure how the game and the yellow king secrets all correlate, probably because I know little to nothing about the play.

The play is called "The King in Yellow," and it does not exist, and it must not exist, or we're all doomed.

"The King in Yellow" is, however, also the title of a book of interconnected short stories by Robert W. Chambers, published in 1895 when H.P. Lovecraft was five years old, and troubling quotes from the fictional play are sprinkled throughout the stories. The play shows up or is referenced in a number of the stories and is said to be a play in two acts: the first act, which is normal but troubling; and the second act which drives the reader insane.

While the names "Carcosa" and "Hastur" were originally taken from a pair of short stories by Ambrose Bierce, it was Chambers who created the Yellow Mythos (and the King in Yellow, and his eponymous play that makes the reader crazy.)

Lovecraft and Derleth later co-opted elements of the Yellow Mythos for their own use in the Cthulhu Mythos.

If you're looking for the two-act play and the Yellow King and—most importantly—"Strange is the night where black stars rise, And strange moons circle through the skies, But stranger still is Lost Carcosa," then you're specifically looking for Chambers' book "The King in Yellow."

That said, this game also seems to be referencing Derleth, as it makes reference to Assatur/Hastur as being a deity (Bierce, Derleth) rather than a location (Chambers). Lovecraft references "Hastur" but does not specify what it is.

Anyway, this will explain things better than I can:
