A fun callback to old legend of zelda games, however turned out to be surprinsginyly deep and filled with a lot secrets and puzzles. The combat was somewhat like dark souls (rolling, estus, bonfire) but not very challenging which I did not mind since the game seemed to be more about decrypting the world you are in. Some of the puzzles were a bit too smart for me but the ones I got hints on I managed to figure out. Got the good ending and defeinitly wanna go back to get the other ending(s). I really loved the instruction manual mechanic, unique and very fun to sit there and think about what the page that you just got is trying to show/tell you. The latter half of the game was very cool, and this is where the puzzles started to ramp up in difficulty for me. Overall, very fun game and highly reccomend if you are a fan of puzzle games.

Why is every game now "souls like"? Can't we just have a Zelda ish game without losing your crap when you die. Whoever came up with that feature is just horrible.

I was enjoying this game than got stuck dying for 30 minutes straight. I have heard nothing but good things about this game and how clever it was, but I don't know if I will ever get to that point!

I hate to give this game a bad review (lol so I wont) because 99% of it was amazing. I loved almost all the puzzles, and the combat was simple but challenging to master.

However, some of the final puzzles were almost impossible. The mechanics for some puzzles weren’t introduced well enough, making their solutions very hard to find. I solved the entire language without any hints, so it was frustrating that after translating all the text I still was stuck on 2 puzzles at the end.

What really disappointed me was needing to use the internet for a puzzle near the end. This requirement was never hinted at earlier in the game, making it feel very unrewarding and leaving a bad taste about the entire experience. The other puzzles problem was that most puzzles follow a similur solution but out of nowhere the solution of one of the last puzzles was just to press a hidden button wich I maybe did ones before near the beginning and was not hinted at again.

(This is not a problem if you do not plan on 100% the game by yourself, I am stuborn and really wanted to do it all on my own)
