Spoiler-free hints please: crossing gaps

Hi,

There seem to be several areas in the game that I just cannot reach without the ability to jump. At first, I thought that I'll be able to access them somehow as the game progresses - but it just does not seem to happen.

I am now almost completely through the quarry and at the very beginning there was a respawn point in the middle of a little pond I still cannot reach. There seems to be little point to this if there is no way to activate it until later in the game.

Other areas that I just can't access: the note in the town square, the parts of the cementary behind the barricaded gate, and the teleporter in the half-sunken area in the west.

Did I miss anything elsewhere?

I already got the round thing from frogs domain, and got two of the three "keys"(?) by defeating other bosses.

If someone could give me spoiler-free hint, that would be much appreciated.

Keep searching for the keys. Once you have them all, you'll be on the intended path to getting what's needed to reach those places.

NP. It's basically the last accessibility upgrade in the game, which is why you're having to wait so long, but past getting the three keys is when you'll start progressing towards it.
