Because the code can be a failure due to user input (and because it's 100 inputs long), be sure to take very delicate care not to double-tap inputs, and also be totally certain about the inputs that have lines across them- that means you have to press it twice. If you have too much trouble with a controller's D-Pad, I would recommend putting the code in through your Keyboard's Arrow keys instead, as it also functions as a Holy Cross.
If this doesn't work, you may consider having someone else input it for you-- maybe they could get it right-- or, you could list out the directions in the form of "Up, down, up", instead of looking at the code itself as you input it. I personally can't do it with the form of "Up, down, up", but some people have had success with this.
Wishing you the best of luck on your journey.

You can use it as a one time thing or make it auto turn on whenever you use the d-pad
