Dead second ziggerat flame (spoilers)

So I'm inside the ziggerat and I'm at the second "checkpoint", however its dead (no flame), and I don't know how to activate it so I'm not warped back to the top of the ziggerat every time. I am aware that the VERY last "checkpoint" has an activation, but this is not the last checkpoint (the one I'm on is right after you take the elevate with all the creepy stick foxes being put into obelisks). please let me know if I missed something as all the guides seem to say that the flame should be up once i enter the new area

Just an update I died again, and now the first checkpoint flame is out too. Anyone else encounter this and is there a way to turn them on?

Have you tried verifying the integrity of game files? (Library -> Right-click on game -> Properties -> Local files -> Verify integrity of game files)

If that doesn't work, could you share a screenshot? I didn't even know it was possible for checkpoints to lose power.

As far as I'm aware, no that should not be happening. Definitely verify the integrity of your files if you haven't already, and if that doesn't fix it then I guess the next step is to submit a bug report.
What an unfortunate place for that to be happening, too, 'cuz getting through that place can be rough... and also time-consuming.

This is a glitch that arises from copying a save from the PC Game Pass version of the game to the Steam version and vice/versa. The save structure of these two builds of the game are distinct and cannot be transferred. To fix this issue, clear your save or revert to playing the game from the storefront you were previously playing on.
