Alternate route into Quarry

I'm a decent way into the game and am a bit stuck. I need to get into the quarry, but plot reasons are preventing me from accessing the quarry from the main entrance through the gate from the hub world.

Is there a secondary entrance into the quarry that I've missed?

Are you talking about the gate where there are 3 knights camping there? Because that gate will never be opened, you have to go through the shortcut underneath nearby.

You can access Quarry via Mountain route too.

The top right of the mountain is what you need ;)

The hidden path is just on the right side of the giant mountain door on top of the mountain.

Thanks! Was able to get a Game Over within 30 minutes of finding that.
