but if you have the money contact them
what extra cost? we're already on pc and they aren't hosting the servers since it's p2p and they just got a deal with MS for the gamepass license....this game needs crossplay to survive, the first one died out quick
"We don't have the resources to do that for this game.
It requires dedicated match making servers that mediate between the different platforms.
The respective platform services we are using don't have those features."
"Unfortunately I don't know enough about the politics and technicalities myself there to tell you about any plans.
It seems the few games that do have cross play are large profile and have their own dedicated servers managing all platforms to begin with opposed to us using each platforms dedicated match making service. And on top of that platforms still like to block permission even when there are no technical hurdles :(
Really sucks considering small games would benefit way more from this than large ones.
We've got other things to deal with beyond performance as well, but I will let you know if I ever learn more on the cross platform front."
when you buy a game you buy a game once
they won't get any money from making crossplay update (or any update at all honetly they just don't work on LLB anymore, bomb rush cyberfunk is a game they will sell whereas LLB is already sold to must people interested to it)
sure some more people may buy the game but honestly the game is already playable without crossplay so they better buy it now than wait for a never happening update
crossplay requires heavy cost in server, devs don't have any servers for it right now
it would also require a rewrite of the netcode since it's P2P right now
devs would also need servers in every region of the world
and Sony's approval (which is unpossible so never crossplay on ps4/ps5)
to sum up crossplay is only possible for very very big company and not for them unfortunally
also lethal league blaze is a fighting game, and when you play this kind of game you usually expect the lowest lag possible, which would again require heavy cost in server everywhere in the world, it's just way better to stick P2P for everyone
sure it's sad for console player to have very small playerbase, but what can indie devs do about that they didn't make the console
just buy all your games on pc if you want the best experience
I don't think crossplay would prevent the game from dying
maybe devs could add stuff to keep it alive but probably not crossplay
But Steam doesn't cross with Microsoft version.
I didn't know it had it since it is very new sorry
but it is only here because microsoft share it's own servers between pc and xbox
LLB on steam use steam's servers
so no crossplay unless TR work actively with microsoft on it
maybe it will happen we should ask devs but don't have too big hopes
