1: Steal the ball from behind him right before he throws it at super speed at you.
2: Parry your ball as often as possible, as such he will have a hard time taking hold of the ball.
The rest is like with everyone else. And as a little side note, from having played quite a lot with all characters, the most OP one is Jet by far, Doombox is actually just as OP as every other character, as he has his ability like everyone else.
Curious how Jet is OP, after people started grabbing the ball out of my bubbles I lost the nerve to play her online.
She's unconventional in the sense she can hit the ball with intervals not depicted on the boombox meter. But yea if the opponent knows how to grab she becomes a lot more difficult to perform well with.
Afaik the most competitive picks will always be those that can create new angles easily. A deceptively large amount of this game, and the original Lethal League, comes down to knowing where the ball will land(since getting parried is pretty much an instant lose). Jet can also create new angles, but at a risk like you said.
