Hello!

Over the past weeks we have been working on how SonDem looks. Our goal: the moment you step through the door, you should feel the air of a real neighbourhood Turkish coffeehouse.

• Bounced light: Lamp light now bounces off the walls, floor and ceiling, filling the corners with a natural warmth.

• The wood stove: The fire in the cast-iron stove bathes its surroundings in red: the kettle, the hearth, the stool and the rug beside it.

• Smoke haze: A thin haze drifts slowly under the ceiling of the hall. Switch the lights off and it fades into the dark.

• Light shafts: Soft beams hang in the air beneath the ceiling lamps.

• Windows: The glass is clear now; at night it mirrors the room inside.

• Shadows and reflections: Sharper lamp shadows, and the hall reflected in tea glasses and polished tables.

• Light switches: Turning the hall and garden lights on and off changes the bounced light too.

The okey, backgammon and chess tables are waiting for you. Tea is on us.
Don't forget to add SonDem to your wishlist!
