When I Bought this Game itWould Load Right off Steam, Now i Cant Even Play My Game Without Making A Stupid Ubicoft Connect Account? Have They Not Realized They Made A Faital Flaw?? I Dont Want To Have Three For Programs Running When The only Thing That Needs To run is The Game. F U ubisoft. Never Buying Another Game Just Because of this MAJOR INCONVINENCE

[just to name some of the biggest names in the gaming world that are on steam] Never Have I had To make BS accounts to play the games i buy on steam. when installing the game an initially starting the game, steam gives me the normal decision to link my steam account to the game. never do i have to continusly make accounts for every devloper, thats retardation at its finest from ubisoft, frontier games, origin an any other developer that dose not get with the program on steam. The Way It Is Supposed To Go after instillation set up, i simply go to my libray on steam an hit play. THEN PLAY THE GAME. like wtf dont they understand, steam verifys users by Internet Protocall, passwords and other reletive programing verifications. Also I Trust Steam Much More Then Every Deloper indvidually. Its Jsut Safer To Have My Info Data And Games protected By Steam, Thats The Point Of Steam So No Matter What Happens To A Developers Servers I Can alwyas Play The Games i paid for. FC5 has NEVER been playable on PC without Uplay/Connect (except the pirated versions ofc...).

to play far cry 2 multiplayer yes you had to register a UBI account i bought that game right here ON STEAM and yes i needed to make a ubi account using a e mail and password .. that was over a decade ago

(far cry 2 no longer has MP servers as of June 1st of this yr from what i understand as the game was moved to legacy status ..as yes its OLD )

I am not a tech person but agree when I've bought games in Steam everything seemed to work.
I got games that I've had for a while, years, now to play they ask for a login to their website.
It states I have a known steam account attached to this game but cant play because the email doesnt match?
It may have been that old where I dont knoow where to turn...

ALWAYS WRITE DOWN YOUR ACCOUNT DETAILS WHEN YOU CREATE ONLINE ACCOUNTS

i keep mine in a little address book i got at a office supply store and i keep it in my desk

if you lost your login details YOU NEED TO CONTACT UBISOFT SUPPORT DIRECTLY
same would happen if you lost your steam account details .. if you log in to another account .. NO YOUR GAMES will not be there

and yes you need to contact support , same thing happens if i lose my login details for my bank .my cable bill , my power bill or car payment company or CC company

only support can assist you if you have games registered to another account

remember your games are tied to the account that is tied to the e mail you used to register your games on .. FOR LIFE

Now They Trying to divert Me To ubisoft Store instead of Steam, Not Going To happen, They lost A Customer. i Got my Money back. I Buy The Game, I Expect it To Simply Download, Then Play When I hit play on Steam. Thats The Whole point of Steam. Sucks Your Letting These people Waste Your Life Making A bunch Of Accounts. and yes this game as well as FAR CRY 3 FAR CRY 4 FAR CRY Primal and even FAR CRY NEW DAWN all require a ubi account and have since day one that they shipped .. even if you bought it on steam or any other online store

maybe your too young to remember yes you have always needed online accounts with PC games .. even going back to the days of KALI , MPlayer , the TEN Network and for OLD command and conquer games you had to register an account with WESTWOOD

I love these kinds of threads, full of rage and anger. It is a pain having to login to steam and than logging into another client but its what it is.

I do believe your issue is with valve for allowing developers access to steam who use 3rd party accounts. Valve should ban all developers who insist on using their own software if you ask me.
