Uplay does not recognise the Farcry 5 I bought in Steam

after i installed I was able to play once (3-4 hours) but then trying to play the next day I was presented with a CD key/ validate ownership of game error. How can I fix this issue as there is no CD key with my purchase (I bought the Farcry gold pack on sale a few weeks ago)

have you tried validating game files?

there should be an ownership license in the bundle.

I do not know for sure because I bought the deluxe edition
there should be something called Uplay activation and full game ownership if you scroll down

thanks for the suggestion but even after validating its still not working.

AFAIK you can look up your CD key in Uplay, just go to game details for Far Cry 5 and click on CD key it'll display your key.

If that doesn't work, check if your Uplay already linked to Steam or not. maybe that's the culprit
