Where i can find Activation Code?

My friend sent me Far Cry 5 as a Gift on steam. when i start it, its needed activation code, where i can find the activation code?

There is no more codes for Ubisoft games brought direct on steam or ubi store
The game should activate automatically during installation in the uplay account witch will be linked to steam.

But when i started and transferred to uplay they ask me the cd key. Im confuse why ist not automaticly in.

You can do a search in the forum and find the answer to your problem. However:

You need to update U-play to get the game "auto-activate":

Hi guys! The following steps should allow you to activate your game automatically:

1) In your task manager, find the following process: UbisoftGameLauncher.exe, and end the process.
2) After that, uninstall and reinstall Uplay PC from uplay.ubi.com , as this will update the client.
3) Launch the game again from Steam.

as far as i am aware steam stopped giving out activation codes as far back as in the summer sale of 2016, for Ubisoft developed titles ..no clue how gifts work ..for that info .. ask steam support .
