Far Cry 5 wont start

Hello everyone, i'm having this issue right now hope anyone can help me with it. I purchased Far Cry 5 from steam today after ubisoft connect login everytime i try to start the game it launches FarCry arcade. I dont know if i'm doing something wrong or not.

I too am having the same issue. The game is always just opening the level editor. which is uh, cool and all but I actually would like to play the game itself.

I also tried going to uplay and launching it there - same result. I then went into the directory and selected the farcry5.exe specifically thinking maybe the links were calling the wrong exe - no change. I then verified my files... .... hrmmm ??? How tf are we supposed to play this game?

Arcade Editor Fix
Saw this in another thread buried under complaints.

Here's how to make the Steam version of the game start, instead of opening the Arcade Editor.
________________________________________________________

1. Navigate to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FarCry5\bin".
2. Delete the file "ArcadeEditor64.exe"
3. Copy the file "FarCry5.exe" to another location. (Desktop, maybe.)
4. Rename this copy of "FarCry5.exe" to "ArcadeEditor64.exe"

5. Move this copy, now renamed ArcadeEditor64, into the FarCry5\bin folder.

6. Finally, open the file named FarCry5.exe in the FarCry5\bin folder.

The game should open as normal.

I've been having this issue for a while and tried everything I've found on the net to no avail. So I tried something and got it to work! Completely exit Steam. Open Ubisoft Connect and run the game from there. It will open Steam itself and the game will run. FINALLY figured it out!
