Download Speed Capped?

Just bought the game, and it is downloading really slow. It seems to cap at around 1.4 MBps. I have a 400+ mbps download speed, and other games update and download at the full speed but this game won't get anywhere close. Does anyone else have their game download speed capped and is there a way to make it not capped?

That's not really something we have control over, as that's really an issue with the Steam download servers. You could try clearing the download cache if you haven't already, as this can sometimes cause issues with downloads.

I've not heard of an issue with that from other users, did you manage to get the game downloaded?

Sorry I'm very late to this. Your program has probably downloaded by now. Hopefully this might help other users: If you're using the "Killer Control Centre" for your network traffic management (or something similar for your particular network card), give the "Steam Client Bootstrapper" level 1 priority.

I've been getting 2.2MBps (about 17.6Mbps) for 18 months or so on a 100Mbps service via gigabit ethernet - it really didn't look right.

I messed about with the download limits, region etc. but no change. Sorted out the setting in the control centre, and it went immediately to 13MBps (or just over 100Mbps) - exactly what I pay for!
