Far Cry 5 - Any way to revert to a previous save?

So, I decided to tackle the taking down of the father statue by dropping in on a heli (Bare in mind I only had a bow and some C4 on hand) just to test how fragile the statue was. I landed and threw an explosive at Its head, and of course I fell with it and died. The game has saved just before I died with not even enough time to enter the pause menu or ANYTHING. It even crashed my PC just now.... Any help would be appreciated for this is rather upsetting. I'd rather not start a new game over something so f*cking stupid. I mean I've enjoyed the 8 hours I've played so far but if I had to start it again I don't think I'd pick it up for a little while

Hi there,

Try bringing up the map to fast travel, or the menu to reload the save/checkpoint before the death occurs. Or if possible, have a friend invite you into a cooperative game so that you get pulled into that game, before being able to return to your own.

Hey there, I got killed after the explosion of the Chalet like right after, so it loads me back inside the house but i am trapped and constantly on fire. So I can't get out, fast travel or load anywhere else. I keep dying and I can't get out. Please help!

Are you able to try reloading the checkpoint or quitting the mission?

I'm having the same issue as jamie at the statue although im falling off of it and constantly dying and respawning, i tried reloading checkpoint and that didnt work i tried quitting the mission, opening the map, opening parachute and using wingsuit but none of it work the game i barely have enough time to open the menu

I got there eventually! spamm pressed the map key until it opened and was able to fast travel!

I’m in the same situation. I can’t access any menu, because I’ve been respawning already dead! It’s a game bug, therefore I request an update to fix it ! I’ve played for several hours !! (Xbox one version)

I have the same issue. I got sucked in (teleported) in to a mission which requires things I don't have (explosives). Reloading the previous check point does not change anything. I just restart the mission I can not win.

I know no one who owns this game and I sure can't recommend it given these basic issues. There MUST be some way to load a previous save.

There is only one, but only if you have older Save manually backup.
And no, you can not use save from other person, Saves are codded to specific Uplay account, any attempt to load will give corrupted error.
