game not saving

when i got far cry 5 i played half way in the story then i got a message that said i needed to exit to main menu so i did but after i left to main menu there was not button to keep playing my saves where not there i needed to start a new game even tho my saves are still on my pc and when i started a new game the same thing happend does anyone know how to fix this cuz i cant find a way to fix it pls help

yes i got a message that said that i needed to return to main menu but when i said no the message return then again and again and when i left to main menu it said error granit 20000 and i could not be able to save my game but now i fixed it thanks for the help

Got same problem, when ran out of disk space, after that I cleaned up some space (~60gb), but game still did not saved, no error, just after exit you have only "new game" option this time, tried to play twice, no progress saved. This morning I've deleted far cry's all saves/config files, but did not have enough time to test save (you guys have reeeealy long unskippable intro).

i deleted the files that got corrupted but i payed the price it took long time to fix it

Still experiencing this issue, file deletion does not help, probably corrupted and synced to the cloud, now cloud syncs corrupted save back :( (just a guess)

Found workaround: disable saves cloud sync, clean up saves (c:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames directory), progress is now saves ... but how to clean up cloud ?

You can overwrite the cloud save by playing from your new save with cloud save enabled.

make sure you keep a backup of your local save files in case though.

SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME

I ***ked up save again, now completely different way, I've exploded father's statue while falling from it, and it autosaved me, after that I went into death loop: game loading->I fall->I die->repeat. I can't even go to menu in this loop, only alt+f4 helps. Guys please introduce multiple autosaves so we could go to point a bit earlier than the corrupted or ~ed up save.

Are you able to try joining another player to get out of this loop?

Yes I've joined and set save progress in coop to yes, but next time I restarted game I was in same loop.
