Crash after Main menu (in loading screen - Game start)
So when i triing to play new game, loading screen appears, and after 8 seconds of loading it crashes.
The message is "Display driver Nvidia Windows Kernel Mode driver, has stopped responding and has successfully recovered"
So:
1. I have the latest driver version nvidia (27 03 2018/ 391.35) -
2. I can edit new maps in the editor - and play in it (and there is no problem - nothing crashes)
3. I tried to start with the lowest settings- but it didnt fix the problem of loading new game after main menu crash

I really want to play in this game, so i wait for :
1. An advice how i can fix this
2. A hotfix/patch or something that will fix this crash
3. Or maybe somebody who read it can give me your save file , maybe this crash apeears only in the start of the game

No problems with another Ubi games: AC Origins and Watch Dogs 2 are pretty good works.

Could you try uninstalling your display/GPU/Nvidia drivers by using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller), while in Windows's Safe Mode?

After that, restart into windows as usual and install the latest drivers again.

Its the new drivers causing the issue. I was playing fine until the new drivers came out. Now it usually crashes on launch or game load. Every so often the game will launch and I'll be able to play for a bit.

Go download NVIDIA driver 391.24 and install it. FC5 should work again after that. It worked for me at least.
no pain no gain Apr 20, 2018 @ 8:44am

You shouldn't need to uninstall. I just downloaded 391.24 and installed it without uninstalling the new one 391.35. I haven't run into any issues with Far Cry 5 since.

So I found that switching from 1080 to 720 resolution, switching all setting to low, then running benchmark then exit whenever, and starting the game makes it not crash for some reason. In game I then change settings to med and works perfect until i close the game and have to rinse and repeat. I have the latest driver.

I mean I dont have issues anymore after the newest driver. It was just that version giving me issues

Hey there,

Sorry to see you're having issues!

Please give the steps[support.ubisoft.com] in our guide a try.

Including updating drivers as this has been noted as being successful above.

If you're still having issues, please open a case on our Support Site[ubi.li] and send over your system files.

DxDiag[ubi.li]

Msinfo[ubi.li]

We'd be more than happy to take a closer look!
